At Greening Up the Mountains on April 23, the front yard was alive with GAs, RAs, Acteens, and youth rocking, serving lemonade and ice water, and selling handmade items—all to raise money for the CBF Ukraine Relief Fund. Lots of adults came by and rocked for a while and families enjoyed the picnic table and playground with much appreciation expressed for the restroom access.
Now . . . what you've been waiting for—Drum roll, please! The total amount raised was $3000! A presentation of the money will be made on Sunday, May 1, when the Podgaiskys speak during worship service.
Many thanks to Beth Moore who coordinated the event and kudos to all the children's and teens’ mission leaders and over 40 young people and adult volunteers who participated. It was a great day!
