Maraline's Slaw

Ingredients & Instructions

1 large cabbage, shredded
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 large green pepper, chopped

Layer these ingredients in a large bowl in the order given.

Bring to a boil:  3/4 cup cooking oil

1 cup vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt

Remove from heat.  Add 1 cup sugar.  Add pepper to taste.  Pour over vegetable layers.  Don’t stir!  Refrigerate at least 4 hours before eating.
