Butch and Nell Green serve in and around Houston, Texas, ministering to the Muslim community and engaging congregations in outreach with their Muslim neighbors. Butch and Nell seek to mobilize Christians and churches in developing and enhancing internationals ministry among the Muslim diaspora by providing resources, training opportunities, mentoring, networking and gaining practical experience through hands-on ministry to refugees and immigrants. They coordinate an internationals ministry network which includes an emphasis on prayer and resourcing churches.
As Houston has recently become the number one city in the United States for resettling refugees, Butch and Nell develop outreach to refugees through distribution of food baskets, connecting churches and individuals with refugee families and partnering with Interfaith Ministries to meet the needs of newly-arrived refugees.
Houston is also noted as the number one city in the U.S. for human trafficking. Butch and Nell combat human trafficking by developing partnerships, providing training and serving in an advisory capacity to the Coalition to Combat Human Trafficking in Texas Gateway/Destination Cities.
