All Saints Day – THIS Sunday, November 6
We will have the opportunity this Sunday in worship to remember those who have died this past year. We will say aloud the names of those we are grieving and will have the chance to light a candle in memory of those we have lost. Please join us for Worship this Sunday as we give thanks for the people God has placed in our lives.
Youth Bonfire at the Mathises — RESCHEDULED for THIS Sunday!
Youth and your friends, join us at the home of Zeb and Ellen Mathis this coming Sunday, October 30. You should plan to arrive by 5:00 p.m., and we’ll have a hot dog supper and a bonfire!
The Mathises live at 68 Meadow View Drive in Sylva. Google Maps and Apple Maps will get you close. When you turn into the ‘Meadows at Kitchens Branch’ main subdivision entrance, go past the mailboxes on your left, turn left up the hill. Our driveway is the first one on the right. Please let us know you’re coming so that we can have enough food for everyone by texting Jeff at 828-226-9308.

Not a full-time resident of Jackson County but still want to stay in touch? We invite you to join our First Baptist Church of Sylva’s online directory! You may have heard about our recent implementation of an on-line directory for church members. We have created a group to include those who may not live here year round but who attend our services and/or events when they are here. We invite you to be a part of the directory so that you can you access to contact information for members and active-attendees, alike.

There is still room on the schedule to serve “the least of these”
on Sunday mornings. It is a blessing to see their smiles and enthusiasm as you spend
time with our infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Preschool Sunday School Classes
Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to their own Sunday School class, located in the church nursery. Sunday school will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Dr. Judy Seago is the teacher. Hope to see your preschooler there!
