United Christian Ministries needs 108 fruit cups for Christmas break bags
There are 450 children in Jackson County Schools who are eligible to receive free lunch and breakfast but who will not receive them during the long Christmas break. UCM will provide a special bag of food for each one. Churches have been asked to provide items selected for this purpose. We have been asked to provide fruit cups. The deadline is Nov. 26 to have them in the Loving Kindness room.

Rock-A-Thon

Our 1st annual Rock-a-Thon was a success! We raised $1,010.00 for United Christian Ministries youth food boxes.  Thank you so much for your support and we look forward to having a rocking good time again next year.

United Christian Ministries Contest

Thank you to everyone who brought pasta and sauce for the United Christian Ministry spaghetti contest! Collectively, we were able to exceed our goal of providing over 200 spaghetti meals. And last but not least, congratulations to the piano side of the sanctuary for bring the most food items!

Contest report for week one - Spaghetti boxes 48, while sauce had 45.
Folks, this is just 1/10th of the need!

United Christian Ministries will provide 450 Jackson County school children with food for the long Christmas break. 70% of the children in our schools qualify for free or reduced price breakfasts and lunches.  UCM asked the question, "What do these children do over the break?" With the help of the school Social Workers, bags will be distributed before the break.  We are to provide spaghetti and spaghetti sauce for the bags.  If you sit on the piano side of the sanctuary, bring boxes of spaghetti; if you sit on the organ side of the sanctuary, bring spaghetti sauce.  Help "your side" determine which is the "better side"!
