Blonde Brownies

Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup melted shortening
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
Combine melted shortening, brown sugar;  stir in eggs one at a time.  Beat well after each egg.  Add dry ingredients and mix.  Add nuts and chocolate chips.  Spread in 9”x13” pan, lightly greased.  Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes or until done.
