CARE: Children, Caring and Reaching Elderly
Five children came together on May 11th to form the Children’s CARE (Caring And Reaching Elderly) Team. After learning how to be a good visitor to older people in a session led by Sara Melton, Director of the Area Agency on Aging, the children made cards in preparation for their first visit.
The CARE Team will meet at the back entrance on Wednesday, May 18th, at 6:00 p.m., and travel to 2 homes for visits, returning by 7:00 p.m. Parents must sign a permission form when they bring their children. Cheryl Beck and Linda Phelps will be accompanying the group. The CARE Team will meet again on Wednesday, May 25th, at 6:00 p.m. and make one visit, then enjoy ice cream at Jack the Dipper, returning to the church by 7:00 p.m.
CARE Team members are Lexi Allen, Kinzlee Brooks, Cadance Gallagher, Truman Joiner, and Luci Moore. Yay, Team!
