This Sunday, March 27, we will be called into a brief church conference at the end of worship to consider a recommendation regarding renovations to the Main Street side of our church.
The exterior of the Sanctuary building, facing Main Street, needs to be refreshed to maintain a welcoming and, in the case of the brick steps, safe entry for members and guests. In particular, the entire front face of the church needs to be pressure-washed, all painted white surfaces need to be scraped, sanded, and then painted white. Additionally, the brick steps at the front of the Church need to be repaired. After seeking bids from local companies, the Trustees received a bid from Western Builders, with whom this Church has had a positive relationship over the course of previous projects. The bid for completing the work described above is $18,690, with work beginning on or around April 4, 2022.
Upon evaluating the Western Builders bid, the Trustees recommended that the Church accept this bid and schedule the commencement of this project. The Budget and Finance Committee and the Board of Deacons also recommend that we accept this bid and commence the facelift.
