Ingredients
1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
1. Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar
2. Add one egg and mix.
3. Sift together and add the flour, soda, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
4. Add the vanilla and nuts. Mix thoroughly.
5. Form dough into two rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill.
6. Slice the rolls of dough, place on a cookie sheet.
7. Bake at 375 degrees F. until lightly brown.
