On May 21st, 16 GAs gathered in the MFC for an afternoon tea complete with cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, fruit, cookies, and, of course, tea. Gaye Buchanan, GA leader, coordinated the event with help from Nell Cummins, Cheryl Beck, and Sandi Allen. The girls donned pretty spring hats loaned by Mrs. Hattie Lee, posed for photos, and enjoyed some games and table conversation. Gift boxes for each girl and beautiful centerpieces were provided by Diane White. A goody bag with a handmade pocket purse from WMU was also presented to the young ladies. Thank you to the parents who attended. It was a fun event.
Another fun event is planned for GAs on June 18th when they go camping at Standing Indian.
