Christmas in Song

On Sunday, December 12, the Sanctuary Choir will present a program of varied styles of Christmas music during the 10:30 a.m. worship hour.  Under the direction of Dr. Robert Holquist since 1983, the choir has maintained the tradition of a special music program during  Advent, drawing upon arrangements of familiar carols, and expressions of joy from composers and lyricists through the ages.

The choir will be assisted by Lorie Meservey on piano and organ.  Stephanie Dickerson, cellist,  will be a guest with us on Sunday.  She and Linda Stewart will offer several Christmas selections during the Gathering Music time (10:15 a.m.), prior to worship, as well as an Offertory solo, and accompaniment of "Silent Night," which the women of the choir will sing.  Marina Hunley-Graham will present "Mary, Did You Know" as part of our program, and the choir will close with the Latin-American stylization of "Calypso Noel."  We hope that you can join us for this special program during this wonderful season of joy and wonder.
