This day of prayer began as Europe emerged from World War II. Women who had been on opposite sides of the battle realized they must tear down walls of divisiveness. Only God could bring reconciliation. Since the first prayer meeting with 19 women from 10 countries, the movement has grown to include women in every country where there are Baptists…156 countries on 7 continents. Even Sylva, NC joined several years ago when Lou Bryson led us in prayer to bring healing and hope in a broken world.
