HAWAII! HERE WE COME!

Leo and Sandy James will be volunteering again this November at the Pu’u Kahea
Conference Center on the island of Ohau.
PKCC is owned and operated by the Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention. The
center is located on a fourteen acre former sugar cane plantation. As you enter the
gates the first thing you will notice is the beauty of God’s creation and the
hospitality of the staff and volunteers.
There are only three paid staff: director, secretary, and cook. There are eight
volunteers each month who do everything that is required to keep the center
maintained and operational from housekeeping to lawn maintenance. The
volunteers come from across America so making new friends is part of the
experience. Team work is also part of the experience.
As guest walk through the Royal Palm Trees, observing the many birds, enjoying
the breeze, or relaxing in the prayer garden they will experience the wonder of our
Creator God. They will also be welcomed and loved by those who will serve them
during their stay. Our main desire, however, is that they will be touched by our
Lord as they have opportunity to get away from day-to-day life and spend quality
time with Him.
We ask you to put us and the other volunteers on your prayer list for safe travels,
good health, and for God to use us in a special way for His service.
