Our Thanksgiving turkey cards will be given to our clients November 19th through the 22nd. The cost of a single turkey may be up to $15.00. Please make your contributions during the month of November. United Christian Ministries will not have turkeys on hand; a gift card will be given to pick them up at a local grocery store.
It is also time to begin our collection for our School Break Bags. Our plan is to fill 450 bags. SAVE THE DATE OF DECEMBER 14 AS OUR DATE TO BRING THE FOOD TO THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH MISSION CENTER AND THE 15TH AS THE DATE FOR THE YOUTH TO ASSEMBLE THE BAGS. Food may be brought to the Mission Center beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the 14th. United Christian Ministries staff will help with the food until 11:00 a.m. On the 15th bring the youth to the Mission Center to begin the packing process at 3:00 p.m.
We are excited to announce this event each year! It brings our youth together for a short worship service and is an awesome outreach ministry right here in Jackson County.
