A Bouncing Baby Boy and a Basket Full of Books!
Welcome to the world, Casey Seago Wier, the son of Paige Seago and Josh Wier! Casey was born on January 5th and weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. He and his parents live in Athens, Georgia. Casey's proud grandmother is Dr. Judy Seago.
Let's show our love to the Wier family by showering them with books for their little one. It could be a favorite title from your own childhood or your children's, books on nature, etc. All books will be enjoyed! Bring your wrapped book(s) with a card and place them in the basket in the vestibule from now until February 4. Thank you for contributing to our basket of books and love for Paige and her family!

1st Explorers After-School Ministry Update
1st Explorers welcomed a new assistant director on their first day back from Christmas break. Kayla Hartman is her name and she hit the ground running! A big “thank you” to Andrew Beck for serving as Interim Assistant Director for several weeks.
The theme last week was Kindness which was kicked off by Cheryl Beck in chapel on Monday and reinforced by Kayla at Friday’s chapel with the story of the Good Samaritan. The children enjoyed the movie “Elemental” which depicts kindness in action in multiple ways.
In the midst of the yucky weather during the week, there were 2 beautiful outdoor days on Monday and Thursday. Curtis Collins, from the Health Department, came to play with the children on Thursday and they had a really great time with him.
Thank you to those who have contributed snacks to the program. There is always a need for them!
(Both Photos): Kayla Hartman shared the story of the Good Samaritan as the children listened attentively and then asked questions
