VBS Registration: Do it Now Online!

Vacation Bible School will be here before you know it!  The date for our community VBS is June 12-16.  First Baptist is in charge of the set-up and take-down each day, the daily Bible story, and youth activities.  Be thinking about how you can help with this very important summer event!  Right now, we need adult volunteers to be group leaders.  Let Cheryl Beck know if you can help.

Children and youth and adult volunteers, please register now for VBS.  Click here or scan the QR code.  There will be a volunteer meeting Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the MFC.

"Thank-You" Corner

Thank You, Ramp Team!

Thank You, Book Buddies!

A big "thank you" to the folks who read to children in After School.  This was an experimental project and we hope to continue it next school year.  Our Book Buddies this spring were:  Linda Minor, Millie Proctor, Mary Anne Roos, Tonya Lloyd, Nancy McConnell, Mackenzie Hearn, Karen Frady, Pearl Hall, Beverly Midgett, Cheryl Beck, Melanie Stokely, and Andrew Beck.  The children really enjoyed their time with the adult volunteers and some may have even gotten "hooked" on reading this summer!

Our Summer Kick-Off Picnic Was a Blast!

Thank you to Tonya Lloyd and her team for helping to set up the pavilion for a great evening of whiffle ball, fellowship, and food! Our next church-wide, outdoor activity will be on Sunday evening, July 16th at Waterrock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Pen Pal Event Planned for June 7

Pen pals—adult and children—please continue writing to your friends. Both groups love receiving mail from their pen pals.

On June 7, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., there will be a Wonderful Water Day to celebrate the Pen Pal Project. This takes the place of the carnival we have had for the last 2 years. You will be hearing more about it, but in the meantime, get your water clothes together for a fun-filled afternoon!
