Kaitlyn Cabaniss is our student ministry associate. She oversees the ministry and activities for all our first through twelfth graders. Kaitlyn was born and raised in Kannapolis. She is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University, having earned a bachelor's degree in communication and broadcasting and a minor in special education.  

Kaitlyn previously worked at First Baptist Church of Sylva as a communication intern and at Christ Community Church in Huntersville as the children’s ministry intern. She also has a special interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities, which she has done through Abound Health over the last three years. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, getting coffee and watching movies.
