Cheryl Beck serves as Children's Ministry Director, a position she assumed in November 2021. A preacher's kid who grew up on a farm in Graham County, Cheryl brings a strong background of church involvement, work with children and youth, and partnerships with volunteers.

Cheryl received her B.S. in Home Economics Education from Mars Hill College (now University), an M.S. in Home Economics from Western Carolina University, and a Minor in Adult and Community College Education from North Carolina State University. Her entire career was spent with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service in Jackson County, NC. -- serving as 4-H and Youth Development Agent for 15 years and then as Family and Consumer Sciences Agent for the next 18 years.

She is married to Steve Beck and they have one son, Andrew, a graphic designer. The family resides in Franklin, NC. Cheryl enjoys baking, food preservation, sewing, crafts, reading, WMU, and spending time with her family.
